I was born on August 8, 1973 in London, England, the son of an Irish immigrant and an American serviceman. The youngest of four children, my family moved to the United States that same year after my father was stationed at Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I lived in the Granite State for the next 23 years until I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1995.
I graduated with a degree in Psychology, also taking courses in finance, accounting, and business management. Having always enjoyed working with people, I knew that I wanted to work in an area that I could provide support to those in need. After graduation, I worked for a mental health agency in New Hampshire providing counseling and support services.
In 1996 I moved to Peabody, Massachusetts to counsel patients in a psychiatric facility based in nearby Lynn. This period of my life offered some of the most fulfilling experiences dealing with people of all backgrounds. This job also allowed me to teach patients the important skills of money management and investments I had learned in college. Eventually, this knack for finance led to my transition into corporate America, where I’ve worked for Fidelity Investments since 1999.
In 2000, I moved to Salem, Massachusetts, where I own a home on Northey Street in Salem’s historic district, just a few minutes walk away from the charming downtown.
2004 was a very exciting year. My husband and I were the first same sex couple to marry in Salem. Also that year, I obtained my Massachusetts Real Estate license. I have been hard at work for the past year and a half working with clients to understand what they are looking for when buying or selling property. My background in psychology and my understanding of finance have both given me a solid foundation upon which to build my career in real estate. Whether you are buying a home for the first time or looking to upgrade from your current home, I can help you along every step of your journey.
